A Comprehensive Overview
WOH CANADA was founded in 2021 by two volunteers seeking the best form of sadaqah (charitable giving) during Ramadan. After extensive research, they concluded that providing clean water systems in underserved countries had the greatest spiritual and tangible impact for three key reasons.
Ongoing Rewards (Sadaqah Jariyah)
Donating a water system provides lifetime rewards, as long as it is maintained, ensuring continuous good deeds.
Increased Rewards During Ramadan
In Islam, good deeds performed during Ramadan are rewarded 70 times more.
Zakat Fulfillment
Providing water aligns with zakat, a sacred pillar of Islam, which mandates Muslims to donate 2.5% of their savings annually to support those in need.
WOH CANADA operates uniquely
Exclusive Fundraising During Ramadan: Donations are collected only during the holy month of Ramadan to align with Islamic values and maximize spiritual rewards for donors.
