Pump Well or Deep Well?
Pump Wells serve approx. 5 to 10 families. Deep Wells reach lower aquifers and can support approx. 20 to 40 families.
How much is a Pump Well?
A Pump Well donation is CAD $297 and supports one hand-pump well for a community in need.
How much is a Deep Well?
A Deep Well donation is CAD $847 and reaches deeper groundwater sources to serve a larger community.
Can I dedicate a well?
Yes. A Pump Well can be dedicated in your name, or in honour or memory of someone. A Deep Well allows up to two names on the dedication plaque.
Is water Zakat-eligible?
Yes. Providing clean water falls under Zakat-eligible categories including helping the poor and general welfare.
Is my donation tax-deductible?
WOH Canada's CRA charitable registration is currently pending. Until it's approved we cannot issue tax receipts, and we say so plainly. Once approved, donations from the registration year onward will be eligible.
